Bait Arrives

With less that a fortnight to go before the gala opening of MPFC 07, early samples of this years bait have arrived at Manning Point Manor.

BigJig, desperate to retain the MPFC Classic title this year, has hired a team of 'gun squidders' who are scouring the southern oceans for sufficient bait supplies for this years contest.

A local fisher at MPFC said that "after the recent visit by Queen Mary, the flathead have developed a more exotic taste and now seem to prefer quid rings over all other bait."

Insiders at PeBE confirmed that Mangrove Mike was last weekend engaged in a secret practise session in preparation for the event, but could not say whether he had caught anything.

In late breaking news, BigJig has ordered the 'gun squidders' to send further consignments closer to the start of the contest after catching several potentially winning flathead after only five minutes of fishing from MPFC flagship vessel  'Karisma'.
