Final Preparations Underway

Date:
By  BigJig Geoff

Last minute preparations are almost completed for the grand opening of the world famous fishing classic.

The beer is chilling, the rods are sharpened, hooks serviced, reels reeled, bait baited and the fish are nervous.

Early arrival of crowds is expected to reduce the chaos of previous years. Hundreds of eager spectators have arrived in Manning Point to reserve the best viewing spots.

Iron Chef Morimoto Masaharu of Nobu's in New York has been secured as head chef and will lead the preparation of Friday Nights gala opening dinner at Manning Point Manor.

Super Captains BigJig and Fishing Phil have spent the weekend making sure their vessels are in tip top shape to lead the Friday afternoon flotilla.  Crews have been trained and are at the ready to welcome the competitors.

It seems that despite the world recession, no expense has been spared to make this year the most opulent and smooth running competition ever.
