Flathead Fill prep in Kaos

Flathead Fill’s preparations to mount his inaugural challenge to unseat the front runners in this year’s pelagic fishing classic took a turn for the worst last weekend. Whilst honing his skills on the marauding white pointers off the reef at Fingal Bay, Fills secret weapon was left high and dry as the engine room and nets were shattered by freak waves and furious storms.

Some cunning investigative journalism uncovered a hot rumour that Flathead Fill simply forgot to grease the trailer bearings in his excitement to hit the water and in the ensuing kaos locals simply made off with his pride and joy. That rumour that has been dismissed by Flathead citing the local mechanic and bottle shop owner at Fingal Bay who whilst out for his morning walk spotted Flathead adrift on the waves at Fingal.

Flathead has now enlisted the locals support in the hope that his secret weapon will be available prior to the classics kick off this weekend. In the meantime Flathead is running a raffle of his childhood fishing gear in the hope of paying the bill for repairs..... donations also welcome.
