International Court of Arbitration Ruling

Date:
By Ronny Reuters OBE (MP)
After a long running dispute between the country of of Ireland (and all international descendants) and Poissons et boisson Extrêmes  regarding the timing of the 2007 Manning Point Fishing Classic, the International Court of Arbitration has ruled that the Irish festival of St Patricks Day had prior precedence and as such cannot be moved from March 17th to another date.

The ruling also stated that the Manning Point Fishing Classic must move the dates of the 2007 tournament so that it doesn't clash with St Patricks Day.

The ongoing dispute started when the 2006 Manning Point Fishing Classic was moved to the start of the Poissons et boisson extrêmes tour and conflicted with St Patricks Day. Due to the massive media coverage of the Classic and the subsequent related consumption of the MPFC Lager, St Patricks Day 2006 was a flop for event promoters and owners of hilariously named Irish pubs.

The Arbitration Chief Judge, Justice Shamus O'Gringo, said that although it should be up to individual communities to chose their favourite pastime, in this case the massive power of the Manning Point Fishing Classic could completely wipe out centuries of tradition in only a few years. " .. and me mum told me to do it" he added, " and she don't fish!".

Slightly despondant, the legal team from Poissons et boisson Extrêmes  would only say "tight lines" as they headed off to Monaco for a full de-brief with Juan Antonio.
