Japanese Flathead Fleet sent to Manning Point

The Japanese Flathead Fleet is being sent to monitor catches at the upcoming Fishing Classic.

International concern is growing that the prestigious fishing event is no longer an excuse for a weekends drinking and fishing and is actually being performed for real scientific research.

A spokesperson for the JFF warned that international relations could be harmed if this scientific farce continued, adding that "flathead are food, not friends. You must catch and eat as many as possible, preferably with a fine beer from Mrs Jigs boutique brewery."

Officials from the Japanese government are believed to be meeting with Marcus Copperi later today to express their opposition to any program which involves catching flathead under the guise of scientific research.
