Competitors in the '06 MPFC are considering striking unless Marcus Copperi approves a public blogometer.

In a meeting held last night at an undisclosed location at Manning Point Bowlo involving all competitors decided in principle to strike unless the organisers of the MPFC official website release details of the current Blog to Grog ratio.

Recent satellite images taken from the PeBe Geostationary Unmanned INternational Exploratory Space Satellite (Guiness) seem to show that BigJig is at Manning Point and getting in some much needed practice.

Digital enhancements of the image have confirmed that the hat does belong to BigJig. It is unknown at this point whether

Local authorites have sincerely apologised at the extend of roadworks prior to the start of the Manning Point Fishing Classic and have made a committment to complete roadworks prior to 17th March 2006. This is seen as great faith by the organisers in the ability of the local council the work on St. Patrick's Day with bloody 16 Guinness before lunch.

Following the outstanding success of the 2005 Tournament Classic,  Event tournament organiser Marcus Copperi last night announced that a new purpose built resort will be built for the 2006 Tournament competitors.

Construction has already begun based on this hastily drafted design pictured.

With a great haul on Day One, Barnacle Barry takes out the Manning Point Fishing Classic.
His big flattie on the Saturday afternoon gave him the edge.
In the teams event a draw was declared after Team Bravo won round three with Fishing Phil bagging a sting ray and Mangrove Mike desperate tactic of jagging a pelican.
