Finally the famous ganghooks came good in 2009 when Gibbo famously won the 2009 Classic with 15 minutes to spare. He has been living off this glory ever since. He has spent a lot of time at sea in 2013 and 2014, travelling the globe extensively to perfect his technique. In 2012 he was the only previous champion who was close to second title but was beaten on the bell by Flathead. 2015 brought a second title and our first dual champion tag. Ganghook has been spotted fishing South American and Antartica in recent times. Will this training in extreme conditions suit him well ? Maybe this year will be the three-peat.
